A new year

Hello and Happy New Year!
It is a quiet time in our household as we reflect on the past year and look ahead to the possibilities of the year ahead. 2024 taught me many things and opened my eyes to living a simpler life, one where family comes first and the busyness of the rat race does not need to be bought into. We have simplified our lives tenfold and although at times we question if we are choosing the right path, we know deep down that we are. I am excited to spend a year of planting, as we prepare for the harvest in years to come.
2024 also brought back my love of reading. With a kindle as my Christmas gift for 2023, I spent the year eating up every book I could get my hands on and as life allowed me. I didn't set a goal for the year but ended up reading 56 books over the course of 2024 (probably 60 if you count how many times I read my own book in the editing process). This excites me and I feel eager to aim for a similar goal this year. So if you have any book recommendations, please do let me know.
2023 ignited a fire in me and love of writing and my life changed in 2024 as I became a published author with my debut novel The Sage: the die has been cast. This was an incredibly exciting time for me and I cannot believe that something I had never thought of as a possibility came true. I have four books in the works now and am eager to tell their stories. So be prepared to see writing content and sneak peaks over the next year as I work to bring at least two of these to fruition.
And lastly 2025 will be a year where our lives change again once more as we prepare for the arrival of a winter baby, our second child. We are all beyond excited and cannot wait to have another addition in our family to make memories with and live this beautiful life that we lead.
I wish you peace, prosperity and an appreciation for the simpler things over 2025. I hope that you find the courage to work towards your dreams and that you give yourself permission to do just that!
Kirsty
